A suicidal young man crosses paths with an ambitious, eccentric woman. Hale-Bopp metastasizes upon the belly of night. She wants to build a machine to escape the world, he wants to heal the world to escape the machine. But in the end, we all gotta eat.
Anura is an interactive novella / visual novel / whatever of about 40k words in total. Your first playthrough should take you 4-5 hours. It's free and informally released as open source: you may do with it as you please.
Warning: contains discussions and allusions to mature themes; a detailed list is included in-game. Your discretion as a player is advised.

Frightfully human, horrific, tragic , Anura is a delightful piece of art. A phenomenally immersive narrative, at times surreal but still completely honest, that chilled me to the bone in more than one place.
